About the Kinship advice team
Our Kinship advice service is the only service just to support kinship carers across England and Wales. Our team are friendly, professional and really understand the issues that kinship carers face every day.
If you live in Wales, we also have a bilingual adviser who can chat to you in Welsh or English.
Our team will be able to support with:
- understanding what you might be financially entitled to
- different types of kinship care and what they mean for you
- support with education, housing and employment
How to book an advice appointment
You can choose from four of our team below to book a free 30-45 minute private advice appointment. You can read about their expertise and find a date and time which works for you.
You’ll be able to choose from:
- a phone call
- an online video call using Zoom (learn more about Zoom)
Once you book your appointment, you’ll receive a confirmation email and you’ll be able to add to your online calendar (from your phone, computer or tablet). You’ll also receive reminders before the appointment.
If you need to cancel or rearrange (we know that life changes and gets busy), you can click on your confirmation email or reminder and there are instructions about how to do that easily.
Please try and cancel as far in advance as possible so that we can free up that appointment for another kinship carer.
