Who we are
Parenting Special Children runs a monthly group for children aged 5-12 living with kinship carers, Connected carers and Special Guardians. Children & young people are split into age groups to attend workshops with music and play therapists, who have training and experience in attachment and therapeutic arts.
Carers are required to stay for the duration of the session in the room next door for an informal support group – an opportunity to speak to others and relax with a cup of tea or coffee.
Carers can also join the support group on their own if children are younger/older or busy elsewhere.
